FDA-approved Artefill is made with unique microsphere-enhanced collagen. The collagen gel, which immediately corrects your wrinkles, is gradually absorbed by your body. It also acts as a carrier for the microspheres, which are not absorbed, thereby creating a support matrix for enduring wrinkle correction by working together with your body’s own collagen. The microspheres in Artefill are 5 times smaller than the material in temporary fillers giving you a much more natural look. In fact, results improve gradually over several months.

This is why Artefill is different than other temporary fillers. Those fillers are made of different kinds of natural and synthetic materials that are completely absorbed by the body over time and as a result, your wrinkles could return after several months.

Artefill is administered as a simple, in-office treatment with immediate results. It is particularly effective on the nasolabial folds (smile lines) due to its potency and staying power. It may also be used elsewhere that you desire volume, wrinkle correction, or contouring. Dr. Kim consults with you to determine your personal treatment plan. On average, patients need two treatments to reach full correction; however, this is dependent on the amount and depth of your wrinkles and folds.

You will see results after just one treatment. Touch-up treatments may be needed to reach the full correction you are seeking.
